Charter International plc today issues its regular trading statement prior to entering its close period. The preliminary results for the twelve months ending 31 December 2008 are due to be announced on 27 February 2009.
The Directors confirm that they expect that the Company will achieve underlying earnings for 2008 in line with the expectations they held at the date of the Interim Management Statement made on 12 November 2008.
Later in January 2009, the Company will make a further statement in which it will include an update on the actions that it is currently taking in response to economic developments.
